E-portfolio


What is portfolios?
  • Is a goal driven,organized collection materials that demonstrates a person's expansion of knowledge and skill over time.
  • Contents organizations and presentation of materials vary, depending on intended audience and purpose.
  • Is evident of individual's growth and development.

What is teaching portfolios?

  • Demonstrates the professional competence of anyone who engages in the act of teaching.
  • An effectives teaching portfolio is a collection of materials selected to publicy define your teaching and to demonstrate the effectiveness of your approaches and the quality of your outcomes.
  • A collection of your best work presented systematically and thougthfully for your own self-improvement and for others to learn about your solution to the problem of effective teaching.

Purpose of teaching portfolios

  • Allows teaching and learning to be considerated in their appropriate context that changes by field and disipline or class size/level.
  • No two individuals teacjing alike, no two portfolios will look alike.
  • Includes materials associated with teaching, curricular units, syllabus, communication with students, writting samples, photographs,videos, letters of recommendation, record of academic achievements and teaching evaluation.

This is our lecture notes about e-portfolio. Dr. Saadiah also show to us some videos about how to make e-portfolio. We also have given a task to make our own e-portfolio.
