Smart school

This week, we had given group assignments to make an essay about Malaysian Smart Schools. Our lecturer had absent today, and we need to submit this task at the end of class. There are some scenarios given and we need to discuss about the Smart School initiatives focusing on teaching and learning components and use of technology as enablers contained in the Smart School concept. We also need to provide overview of the progress made so far and challenges faced since the inception of Smart Schools in Malaysia.

My group had disscussed about this topics and come out with an essay. We had search the internet for related documents that are necessary for our group work. The documents are Smart School Blueprint and Smart School Roadmap.

After completed this task, I had learn something new about the Smart School and the role of ICT in a constructivist classroom. In my opinion, the concept of Smart School is the best way to educate student nowadays.

Smart Schools will lead to the full democratisation of education. These schools are not for the smartest students but really a smart way of ensuring that every environment. The schools will nurture skills of creative problem-solving in the face of novel situations, and students will learn to exercise courage in making decisions and assuming responsibility for them. Students will learn to process and manipulate information. They will be trained to think critically and to reflect on.
